Green Tea Ice Cream

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup boiling water
- 4 green tea tea bags
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup boiling water
- 4 green tea tea bags
- 12 envelopes equal sugar substitute
- 2 cups 1% low-fat milk
Recipe
- 1 regular version: place tea bags and boiling water in a cup.
- 2 let steep for 5 minutes.
- 3 gently squeeze tea bags into water and discard.
- 4 blend tea and sugar.
- 5 allow liquid to cool.
- 6 stir in half& half and cream.
- 7 pour mixture into the chilling/mixing bowl of ice cream machine.
- 8 mix and chill mixture according to the manufacturer's directions for your machine.
- 9 (mixing/chilling time is usually about 30 minutes).
- 10 diet version: follow steps#2, 3& 4 for regular version (see above).
- 11 allow liquid to cool.
- 12 stir in"equal" and milk.
- 13 pour mixture into the chilling/mixing bowl of ice cream machine.
- 14 mix and chill the mixture according to the manufacturer's directions for your machine.
