Green Tea Ice Cream

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 4 green tea tea bags
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 4 green tea tea bags
  • 12 envelopes equal sugar substitute
  • 2 cups 1% low-fat milk

Recipe

  • 1 regular version: place tea bags and boiling water in a cup.
  • 2 let steep for 5 minutes.
  • 3 gently squeeze tea bags into water and discard.
  • 4 blend tea and sugar.
  • 5 allow liquid to cool.
  • 6 stir in half& half and cream.
  • 7 pour mixture into the chilling/mixing bowl of ice cream machine.
  • 8 mix and chill mixture according to the manufacturer's directions for your machine.
  • 9 (mixing/chilling time is usually about 30 minutes).
  • 10 diet version: follow steps#2, 3& 4 for regular version (see above).
  • 11 allow liquid to cool.
  • 12 stir in"equal" and milk.
  • 13 pour mixture into the chilling/mixing bowl of ice cream machine.
  • 14 mix and chill the mixture according to the manufacturer's directions for your machine.
