Homemade Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
- 3 cups lily bread flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
Recipe
- 1 scald ¾ cup of milk and cool to lukewarm.
- 2 dissolve yeast in ¼ cup of hot water (110 to 115 degrees) in large mixing bowl, let stand 5 minutes.
- 3 mix remaining ingredients and beat well with mixer.
- 4 oil a large bowl, turn so both sides are oiled, cover with wax paper till doubled in size.
- 5 punch down, form into rolls on greased cookie sheet and let rise until double in size.
- 6 bake in preheated 400 degree f oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
- 7 brush tops with butter or margarine.
- 8 prep time is in the rising.
- 9 if using bread machine follow mfg instructions.
