Pumpernickel Bread (bread Machine)

Total Time: 3 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly brewed coffee (room temperature)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons liquid honey
  • 1 tablespoon light molasses
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1/2 cup dark rye flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
  • 3/4 teaspoon bread machine yeast or 3/4 teaspoon fast rising yeast

Recipe

  • 1 measure ingredients into baking pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  • 2 insert pan into the oven chamber.
  • 3 select whole wheat cycle, press start.
  • 4 when the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack.
  • 5 let cool to room temperature before slicing.
