Pumpernickel Bread For The Breadmaker

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups rye flour
- 1 1/2 cups bread flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/3 cup gluten
- 1/4 cup powdered milk
- 1 tablespoon caraway seed (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Recipe
- 1 place all ingredients in the breadmaker in the order given.
- 2 process according to manufacturer's instructions, using the whole wheat setting.
- 3 for a darker bread you can increase the cocoa up to 50%.
