Gold Bricks

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) box graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325.
  • 2 separate sections of graham crackers and line on ungreased jelly roll pan so that graham crackers are all touching.
  • 3 finely chop pecans in the food processor and sprinkle evenly over the grahams.
  • 4 in a saucepan, melt together butter, margarine and sugar. bring to a boil and stir constantly for 2 minutes.
  • 5 pour slowly and evenly over the top of the graham crackers and nuts until all are covered.
  • 6 bake at 325 for 10-15 minutes. cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  • 7 separate with a knife. store in an airtight container. these may be frozen.
