Hot And Sweet Turkey Meatballs #a1

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 20 ounces lean ground turkey (85 percent)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped fine
  • 1 cup french-fried onions, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic or 1 large garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup a.1. original sauce
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 large fresh tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 7 fresh garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup a.1. original sauce
  • 1 small dried arbol chile (these are small, but hot)
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherry
  • 1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice (from the jar)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Recipe

  • 1 meatballs:.
  • 2 scoop and roll meat mixture into golf ball sized meatballs.
  • 3 place meatballs on lined greased baking sheet.
  • 4 bake meatballs at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes on bottom rack, turning once halfway through cooking time.
  • 5 sauce:.
  • 6 blend all sauce ingredients in a blender until liquefied.
  • 7 pour into medium saucepan and simmer on low to low-medium for 30 minutes.
  • 8 pour sauce over meatballs and serve.
