Noel Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter, soft
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 egg, slightly beaten
• 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 3/4 cup unsweetened coconut
• 3/4 cup maraschino cherry, chopped

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 350*.
• 2 cream butter and sugar. mix in the egg and extract.
• 3 in a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. stir into the creamed mixture.
• 4 stir in the chocolate chips, coconut and cherries.
• 5 drop by teaspoons on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
• 6 bake for 15 minutes or until edges are slightly golden in colour. cool slightly before removing to a wire cooling rack.
