Old Time Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

• 2 cups heavy cream
• 2 cups whole milk
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 pinch salt
• good quality chocolate, for garnish

Recipe

• 1 whisk all ingredients together until sugar dissolves.
• 2 pour into the bowl of an ice cream machine.
• 3 freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• 4 after the ice cream is made, transfer to an airtight container.
• 5 cover tightly and freeze until ready to serve.
• 6 make chocolate curls using a vegetable peeler.
• 7 serve ice cream garnished with curls.
