Pumpkin Butter

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) can 100% pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 in small sauce pan, combine pumpkin, applesauce, sugar, cinnamon and ginger.
  • 2 bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, stirring often to prevent scorching, 45 min.
  • 3 or until mixture becomes very thick.
