Raisin Bread (not Bread Machine)

Ingredients

- 4 cups flour
- 1 package fast rising yeast
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 package raisins
- 1 3/4 cups water or 1 3/4 cups milk
Recipe
- 1 mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- 2 melt butter in the microwave, let cool it cool to lukewarm temperature.
- 3 add warm water or milk to dry mixture, then add butter.
- 4 mix all ingredients together and let stand for a minute.
- 5 add flour to the mixture and stir until it forms a ball.
- 6 flour countertop, dump out the dough and knead for at least five minutes or until dough no longer sticks to counter.
- 7 place in greased bowl and cover.
- 8 let rise for 1 hour, then punch the dough down.
- 9 let rise for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- 10 place dough into breadpan and bake at 325 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
