Grandma Chin's Sponge Cake

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk, boiled
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°.
  • 2 beat eggs until light.
  • 3 beat in sugar, salt and vanilla.
  • 4 beat in milk and butter.
  • 5 add dry ingredients very quickly and pour into a greased 9x13 pan.
  • 6 bake 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick placed in middle comes out clean.
  • 7 serve with strawberries and whipped cream.
