Orange Cantaloupe Sherbet

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 cups cantaloupe, cubed
  • 3/4 cup low fat buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange zest

Recipe

  • 1 in a food processor, puree the cantaloupe.
  • 2 transfer to a bowl and stir in the buttermilk, corn syrup, orange juice, sugar and orange zest.
  • 3 freeze in an ice cream machine until almost frozen.
  • 4 cut into chunks and process in a food processor until smooth. refreeze. let soften before serving.
