Light Wheat Bread With Honey

Total Time: 2 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 2 hrs Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup bread flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vital gluten
  • 2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Recipe

  • 1 put the ingredients in your bread machine as directed by the manufacturer.
  • 2 make sure gluten is mixed thoroughly with the flour.
  • 3 hit "dough" cycle.
  • 4 form into loaf and place in a 8x4 loaf pan.
  • 5 let rise, covered, for 30 minutes.
