Peach Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 lbs peaches, peeled, pitted, and quartered
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan, combine the sugar, gelatin, and nutmeg. stir in the milk and allow to stand for one minute.
  • 2 place the pan over low heat and cook for five minutes until the gelatin dissolves, stirring constantly.
  • 3 remove from heat and stir in the corn syrup. allow the mixture to cool completely.
  • 4 use a food processor to process the peaches until they are smooth -- you might need to stop and scrape down the sides occasionally during this process.
  • 5 in a mixing bowl, combine the peach puree, the gelatin mixture, the yogurt, and the vanilla and stir well. cover and chill for 8 hours.
  • 6 transfer the mixture into the ice cream machine and process according to the appliance instructions.
  • 7 serve.
