Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- 2 tablespoons chinese black tea
- 2 star anise
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 4 cups boiling water
Recipe
- 1 boil eggs for 10 minutes. soak eggs in cold water until cold. crack egg shells- do not shell; set aside while preparing sauce. pour boiling water into chinese black tea; let stand for 5 minutes. pour tea into a saucepan (straining out tea leaves); add soy sauce, star aniseeds and salt to tea;add eggs and boil in mixture for 20 minutes. remove shells. serve cold.
