Crisp Pecans

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 lb pecan halves (pretty ones)

Recipe

  • 1 bring all ingredients to a boil.
  • 2 reduce heat and simmer uncovered 15 minute.
  • 3 drain.
  • 4 spread out on your counter on cookie sheets or cooling racks and let cool for 1 hour.
  • 5 transfer to cookie sheets and bake in a single layer at 300f for 45 min, stirring occasionally.
  • 6 watching carefully towards the end to make sure they don't burn.
