Crisp Pecans

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups water
- 1 lb pecan halves (pretty ones)
Recipe
- 1 bring all ingredients to a boil.
- 2 reduce heat and simmer uncovered 15 minute.
- 3 drain.
- 4 spread out on your counter on cookie sheets or cooling racks and let cool for 1 hour.
- 5 transfer to cookie sheets and bake in a single layer at 300f for 45 min, stirring occasionally.
- 6 watching carefully towards the end to make sure they don't burn.
