Quiche Lorraine

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (9 inch) pie crusts
  • 6 slices bacon (crisply cooked)
  • 6 ounces swiss cheese (shredded)
  • 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 ounces ham, cubes (about 1/2 cup)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/8 onion (slice)
  • 1/2 cup zucchini (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 prepare pie crust, sprinkle crumbled bacon and cheese on the bottom of pie crust.
  • 2 put remaining ingredients in blender container, blend on high for 10 sec, don't over-blend.
  • 3 pour into pie crust over bacon and cheese.
  • 4 to freeze: flash freeze pie and container. when frozen, cover with aluminum foil and seal in jumbo freezer bag.
  • 5 to prepare: thaw quiche completely before baking. bake in preheated oven at 350 - degrees for 30 minutes, until top is golden brown and mixture is set. serve warm.
