Raspberry Ice Cream

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 5 cups fresh raspberries or 5 cups frozen raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups whipping cream

Recipe

  • 1 put berries into pan and add water and sugar.
  • 2 cover and simmer 5 minutes until just soft (10 minutes for frozen).
  • 3 puree fruit.
  • 4 cool and chill.
  • 5 churn puree in ice cream machine until thick (10-15 minutes).
  • 6 gradually pour in cream.
  • 7 don't be tempted to mix together first. it will change the texture.
  • 8 continue to churn until firm.
  • 9 freeze for firmer texture if desired.
  • 10 can also add a swirl of slightly heated raspberry jam before freezing in freezer.
