Goat Cheese And Leek Tart

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 cups leeks, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 ounces fresh goat cheese
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 pie crust
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees. toss leeks with oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2 mix goat cheese, cream cheese, milk, 2 egg yolks, and thyme. season with salt and pepper. in a different bowl, whisk together remaining egg yolk with water.
  • 3 roll out dough to a 13 in, round. place on baking sheet. spread goat cheese mixture on crust leaving a 2 in border. sprinkle leeks evenly over the cheese. fold edge of dough over filling, pinching together as needed. brush with an egg wash.
  • 4 bake until crust is golden brown, about 1 hour.
