Lemon Buttered Asparagus

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 1/2 lbs asparagus
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 prepare asparagus: hold base of eash stalk firmly and bend. end will break off where stalk becomes tough; discard ends.
  • 2 with a sharp knife or potato peeler, remove scales.
  • 3 trim rough ends to make even.
  • 4 in 12 inch skillet, over medium heat, melt butter watching so it doesn't burn.
  • 5 add asparagus, lemon juice and salt.
  • 6 cover and cook till tender-crisp, about 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
