Lemon Buttered Asparagus

Ingredients

- 2 1/2 lbs asparagus
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 prepare asparagus: hold base of eash stalk firmly and bend. end will break off where stalk becomes tough; discard ends.
- 2 with a sharp knife or potato peeler, remove scales.
- 3 trim rough ends to make even.
- 4 in 12 inch skillet, over medium heat, melt butter watching so it doesn't burn.
- 5 add asparagus, lemon juice and salt.
- 6 cover and cook till tender-crisp, about 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
